Indigenous Visibility in Popular Culture


Kevin is a spoken word poet and visual artist. He is currently employed at Saskatoon Polytechnic Campus as the Artist/Writer in Residence and is also employed as the Aboriginal Arts Leader at SCYAP. Kevin is the founder of the Indigenous Poetry Society which strives towards building a larger community of artists. He has recently earned a place on the Saskatoon Spoken Word Poetry team (2018) and represented Saskatoon at the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word 2017. Kevin represented Saskatoon at the Canadian Individual Slam in Vancouver in April 2018. He is from Piapot First Nation where he learned the value of a community.
