Saskatoon-based poet Zondra Roy debuts her new spoken word project, Zoetry with live musical accompaniment.

Since cutting her teeth in Saskatoon’s spoken word community, Zoey has emerged as prominent artist, public speaker, educator and community organizer. She is passionate about enabling people to reach their potential by eliminating barriers and her Cree-Dene- Métis roots and career as an artist give her a unique insight into working with Indigenous and Canadian youth in pursuit of relationship-building and reconciliation.

Zoey has received significant international recognition for her work and has won a number of awards including the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, a National Aboriginal Achievement Award from the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples, a Woman of Distinction Award in Saskatoon, and the Indspire Award for her innovative approaches to Community Engagement and Education.
