Artist Bio: Walter Kaheró:ton Scott (b. 1985) is a Kahnawake-born artist whose practice includes writing, video, performance and sculpture. Questions of representation, cultural production, popular culture and narrative construction are central to his practice.

His comic series, Wendy, chronicles the continuing misadventures of a young artist who aspires to global success and art stardom. Wendy has been featured in Canadian Art, Art in America and published online by The New Yorker.

Scott has shown in solo and group exhibitions in Canada, Japan, Europe and the United States. In the fall of 2018, Remai Modern presented Betazoid in a Fog, Scott’s first solo museum exhibition, and a performance, Wendy Goes to Hell, which is also featured in the CBC art documentary series, In the Making.

He was recently an artist-in-residence at the ISCP, in Brooklyn, New York and this spring, he was the joint recipient of the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec (MNBAQ) Contemporary Art Award.
