落叶归根 :: falling leaves return to their roots (Time-lapse) respectfulchild
Last fall, visitors to Remai Modern saw respectfulchild’s project 落叶归根 :: falling leaves return to their roots change as the artist collected messages to the ancestors and added them to the installation. The process was recorded in time-lapse video, showing the lifecycle of the gate, the changing seasons, and the burning ceremony that took place on January 4. The video also features an edited version of the music respectfulchild composed for the ceremony.
