Adrian Stimson: Maanipokaa’iini
Exhibition Opening
You are invited to join us for the opening of Maanipokaa’iini, the first-ever survey of the work of the Siksika Nation artist Adrian Stimson. Across installation, painting, photography, video and live performance, Stimson considers Two-Spirit identity, the centrality of the bison to Blackfoot spirituality and survival, and the intergenerational impacts of the residential school system.
About the talk
The exhibition, in the Collection Galleries, will be open from 6–9 PM for a special preview. The opening event includes a short program starting at 7 PM in the Riverview Room, followed by a performance by Stimson.
In accordance with the City of Saskatoon, masks are required for all guests and staff while visiting the museum. Patrons are encouraged to practice physical distancing in all museum spaces.
