Weekly drop-in artmaking in the Cameco Learning Studio is back at Remai Modern! RBC Creative Space is each Saturday from 10 AM-5 PM and Scotiabank Something on Sundays is from 1 PM-4 PM.
In addition, our Ask Me Guides are in the galleries Thursday to Sunday from 11 AM-4 PM to answer questions, discuss art and deepen your visitor experience.
The well-being of our guests and staff is our first priority. Here are our new health and safety guidelines related to programs in the Cameco Learning Studio
- Studio capacity is 20 participants
- Check in at sign-up table required for entrance to Learning Studio
- Extra table spacing in place with controlled traffic flow
- No shared supplies outside of visitor bubbles (family groups, or individuals visiting together)
- Supplies, table and chairs will be sanitized before and after each use
- Participants will be asked to use hand sanitizer before entering the studio.
- Sinks for hand washing are available in the studio.
- Signage and staff are on hand to provide guidelines for visitors.
Scotiabank Something on Sundays takes place from 1 PM-4 PM every Sunday and features a new artmaking activity each week. SoS is free to attend, no admission or registration required!
RBC Creative Space happens on Saturdays from 10 AM-5 PM and features seasonal artmaking activities based on current exhibitions. Free with membership or museum admission, no registration required.
Discovery Cinema is Remai Modern's family film series presenting foreign, documentary, independent, classic, and award-winning family films throughout the year in the SaskTel Theatre. Saskatchewan Blue Cross Family Public Tours feature activities and discussions about exhibition highlights, tailored to appeal to young participants. Bring the whole family every Sunday at 2 PM for this drop-in tour led by Program Guides. No registration required. Free with membership or museum admission. Meet on Level 2 at the Cameco Play Area.
Stroller Tours (currently postponed) offer a casual and lively discussion with a museum educator in the galleries, for parents and caregivers and their pre-toddler-age (18 months and younger) children. This special outing allows for adult conversation where no one minds if a baby interrupts. No pre-registration required and free with membership or museum admission. Drop-in on the first and third Wednesday of each month, 10:30-11:30 AM. Visit the Calendar for dates. Meet on Level 2 at the Cameco Play Area.
OFFSITE FAMILY PROGRAMS
The SaskTel Remai Modern Art Caravan offers artmaking for all ages at community events, with artist facilitators to encourage creative exploration through event-specific themes. Activities are adaptable to suit participants of all ages and learning styles.
Explore hands-on artmaking at Art Reach events. Our artist facilitators inspire learning through process by offering a variety of materials and a suggested art project.
