2018 Mendel International Lecture

Frances Morris

This event is SOLD OUT

Join us for the inaugural Mendel International Lecture, an annual event that brings internationally recognized speakers to Remai Modern to share their ideas and perspectives. In June, we welcome Frances Morris, director of Tate Modern, London. She will speak on collection development and devising a radical display strategy for the new Tate Modern.

Afterwards, enjoy the unique opportunity to dine with Morris on our fourth-floor rooftop terrace. Proceeds from this event will support future Mendel International Lectures.

She has curated landmark exhibitions, many of which were large-scale international collaborations, including three major retrospectives of women artists, including Louise Bourgeois (2007), Yayoi Kusama (2012), and Saskatchewan-born artist Agnes Martin (2015).
