Conversation with Rebecca Belmore and Wanda Nanibush

Turn Out

This event is free with general admission and free for Remai Modern members.

The conversation will begin at 7 PM

The landmark exhibition Facing the Monumental launches with a conversation between Rebecca Belmore and Wanda Nanibush, Curator, Indigenous Art at the Art Gallery of Ontario. A concert and celebration will follow, highlighted by a performance by the new For Women By Women Project (FWBW) by Eekwol and T-Rhyme.

Eekwol and T-Rhyme are seasoned rappers from nehiyaw and Dene territories, currently living in Saskatoon. They founded FWBW to share their truth, leading the conversation around the experience of Indigenous women and delivering an important message of social change and empowerment.

About the talk

Artist's Talks are presented at Remai Modern in conjunction with exhibitions and live programs. These talks bring local, Canadian and international artists to the museum to discuss their practices.
