In April, Turn Out presents a program of spoken word poetry by the Indigenous Poets Society and Tonight It's Poetry.

Founded by Kevin Wesaquate in 2015, the Indigenous Poets Society is a collective that supports both aspiring and established Indigenous poets. Turn Out features group members Wesaquate, Shawn Joseph and Janelle Pewapisconias.

Tonight It's Poetry was formed to create a performance destination for poets touring through the Prairies and to support a local community of poets that celebrates poetic and cultural diversity. Celebrating its tenth year, Tonight It's Poetry has made a significant contribution to the Canadian performance poetry community, presenting hundreds of established and emerging poets. Caragana Ennis, Brendan Flaherty and Sandi Martinez will present works at Turn Out.
