Self-Portrait Photography Workshop

Meryl McMaster’s groundbreaking large-scale photographic works reflect her mixed Plains Cree/Métis, Dutch and British ancestry. She uses self-portraiture, significant clothing and other objects to symbolize her connection to history and identity. Inspired by this work, Remai Modern invites participants to bring clothing and/or objects they feel reflect their identity to create a photographic self-portrait, instructed by Remai Modern Program Guide Gabriela Sieminska-Hauck.
