Community Screening: How Do I Look
This June, Cinema at the Museum presents a series of films in honour of both Indigenous History Month and Pride Month. These films reflect on and examine themes of community, identity, representation, love, acceptance, and family from a wide range of Indigenous and 2SLGBTQ filmmakers.

How Do I Look offers a extraordinary glimpse into the vibrant world of the Harlem Drag Balls, the origin of the voguing dance and how the HIV/AIDS pandemic affected the community. Participants battle each other on the runway for recognition, prizes and the opportunity to be inducted into the prestigious Ballroom Hall of Fame. Through the eyes of Pioneers Pepper Labeija and Kevin Omni, and voguing sensation Willi Ninja, viewers are transported into a world of dazzling artistry, fierce battles, and unforgettable personal stories.
