In relation to concepts from Kapwani Kiwanga’s exhibition Remediation, this screening will open with the short film Water You Waiting For, a collaborative animated short film from the University of Saskatchewan. The animation translates 16 of the most pressing water security issues facing Canada, and follows a water drop as it takes us on a journey across Canada to highlight the issues that are bringing the delicate balance of water sustainability to the tipping point, but with a resounding chorus of hope.
