Sounding is an ongoing collaborative project between Saskatchewan-based artists Rania Alharthi, Kris Alvarez, Terri Fidelak and Elke Richter. Since 2021, they have developed a deep, evolving relationship that centres rituals of grieving through vocalized sound and performance. 

The artists create improvised sound performances in response to indoor and outdoor locations to contemplate the often-overwhelming anger and sadness of our worlds and give space for complex emotion to be witnessed and held.
