Theatre Workshop for Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Director and performer Landon Krentz is bilingual in American Sign Language (ASL) and English. At Remai Modern he will offers a very special performance workshop for teens and adults who are Deaf and hard of hearing. As a Deaf artist, Krentz brings a unique perspective to theatre, striving to establish professional sign language theatre as an inclusive artistic practice. 

Krentz will guide participants through the creation of a Visual Vernacular; a short performance telling a simple story with movement. The participants and teacher will complete the day by performing their Visual Vernaculars in the SaskTel Theatre. Family, friends and members of the public are welcome to attend the performance!
