WEGO 2025
WEGO returns in 2025 on Sunday, August 24 from 10 AM-4 PM, followed by low-sensory WEGO on August 25 1-6 PM. This free festival of art, music, dance and more engages people of all ages through a fun and varied program both inside and outside the museum. WEGO takes place rain or shine.
This year’s program features an exciting lineup of artists and activities for all ages, including:
- okimaw ᐅᑭᒪᐤ – okimawᐅᑭᒪᐤ (pronounced oh-gih-mao) is the roots-rock music project created by nêhiyaw/Plains Cree actor, singer, songwriter, and producer, Aren Okemaysim. He is from the Beardy’s & Okemasis Cree Nation in Treaty
6 territory. - Mr. Eric (Eric Paetkau) – Mr. Eric is a one-of-a-kind musician who brings original songs, silliness, and boundless energy to every performance! With his playful tunes and infectious enthusiasm, Mr. Eric creates fun, interactive shows that get kids singing, dancing, and laughing along. Perfect for families and little ones, his performances are all about connection, creativity, and joy.
- Jay and Danica – Jay Semko, a member of The Northern Pikes and an award-winning composer for film and TV, is one of Canada’s most respected singer-songwriters. Danica Lorer is a nationally recognized storyteller, singer-songwriter, and host of Saskatoon’s ‘Lit Happens’, known for her vibrant performances and original works. Together, Jay and Danica blend decades of musical and storytelling experience into a heartfelt, harmony-rich performance.
- Ludoland – Enjoy a selection of large traditional wooden games, accessible to all ages and perfect for playing with family and friends. They’re fun and challenging, but the rules are very simple and easy to understand. Cedric Delavaud designs and creates these games which are inspired by traditional games he played at events as a child growing up in France.
- Nikki Sirett Chalk Drawing – Nikki Sirett is a visual artist with a varied practice who has been living in Saskatchewan for the past three years. Originally from Vancouver, she graduated with a BFA in Visual Arts from Emily Carr University of Art and Design in 2015.
- Beau Nectar – Beau Nectar is a bilingual collaboration between two singer-songwriters Marie-Clo, and éemi. The duo delivers intimate and vibrant synth/pop/folk with fauna and flora-inspired concepts, that spark their fans’ empathy towards nature.

Getting here
Bike – Racks available near the main entrance. A free Bike Valet, provided by Saskatoon Cycles, is available during WEGO. The valet offers safe, secure parking for bicycles, with attendants on-site to check in your bike and return it when you present your claim card.
Bus – Transit stops nearby on 2nd Avenue and 20th Street.
Drive – Paid parking in River Landing parkade or nearby lots. Accessible drop-off at the main entrance.
Low-Sensory WEGO
Low-Sensory WEGO on Monday, August 25 from 1–6 PM offers a welcoming, accessible environment for those who benefit from reduced noise, lighting, and crowd levels. Admission is free, but tickets are required.
