Anne Brochu Lambert with José Luis Torres: French language interview
French language interview of sculptor José Luis Torres, who created the piece Va-et-Vient (Coming and Going), by artist and broadcaster Anne Brochu Lambert. The piece is on exhibition at Remai Modern, outdoors on the west side of the building until October 11, 2021.
José Luis Torres was born in Argentina and has a Bachelor’s Degree in visual arts, a Master’s Degree in sculpture and training in architecture and integrating art with architecture. He has been living and working in Quebec since 2003. His work has been showcased in many solo and group exhibitions, in public interventions and artist residencies in Canada, Argentina, the United States, Mexico and Europe.
José Luis Torres est né en Argentine. Il détient un baccalauréat en arts visuels, une maîtrise en sculpture et une formation en architecture ainsi qu’en intégration des arts à l’architecture. Il vit et travaille au Québec depuis 2003. Ses œuvres ont été présentées dans le cadre de nombreuses expositions individuelles et collectives, au sein d’interventions publiques ainsi qui au cours de résidences d’artistes à travers le Canada, l’Argentine, les États-Unis, le Mexique et l’Europe.
Anne Brochu Lambert is a multimedia artist established in Regina, SK. Her art practice embraces a mixed media approach to painting, drawing, printing, photography and art installations. She also has an extensive experience as a television and radio producer as well as a host. Her most recent project, a multimedia triptych, was selected for the collective exhibition Présence des femmes, curated by Sabine Lecorre-Moore and shown at CAVA in Edmonton. It was supported by the Conseil culturel fransaskois, SaskArts and the Canadian Council for the Arts. She’s contributed as a peer for the Create and Explore program at the Canadian Council for the Arts. She teaches periodically the Didactique des arts as a sessional, for the BAC at the University of Regina.
Anne Brochu Lambert est artiste plasticienne établie à Regina SK. Sa pratique aborde la peinture et le dessin en techniques mixtes, l’estampe, la photographie et l’installation multimédia. Elle a de plus une longue expérience en réalisation radio et télévisuelle ainsi qu’en animation. Son plus récent projet, un triptyque multimédia, a été sélectionné pour l’exposition collective Présence des femmes de la commissaire Sabine Lecorre-Moore, présenté au CAVA à Edmonton, et appuyé par le Conseil culturel fransaskois, SaskArts et le Conseil des arts du Canada. Elle a été pair de jury pour Créer et Explorer, du Conseil des arts du Canada. Elle enseigne ponctuellement, comme chargée de cours, la Didactique des arts au BAC de l’Université de Regina.
